Prairie Winds Energy Program

While this program is the first of its kind for MWEC, it joins many other successful wind programs throughout the country. By investing in another clean source of power, we are investing in our future. Most important, by taking a leadership role in supporting renewable energy, we are contributing to a healthier environment for this generation as well as the generations to come.

How to participate

You can participate by becoming a wind energy pioneer! In order to justify new wind turbines, we need to know which of our consumers are serious about buying wind energy. We are asking for a one-year commitment to purchase wind energy. The wind power will cost an additional three dollars for each 100 kilowatt-hour (kWh) block purchased each month.
