Installing 8 KW or more in baseboards qualifies a member for the heat rate of 3.8 cents with a heat meter. If a member is already on the heat rate, the new heaters can be added to the existing heat meter. Electric plenum heater Electric plenum heaters can convert gas or oil-forced air-heating systems into a dual fuel system. An add-on plenum heater is easy to install into gas and oil furnaces. MWEC has these heaters on hand and will give up to $500.00 towards a plenum heater.
