If your gas water heater should go on the blink or you have a failed electric water heater, MWEC will replace it with a FREE electric water heater!
Here's a rundown of the qualifications and requirements:
- Your cooperative will supply — at no cost to the member — an electric water heater as a replacement of a failed water heater.
- A replacement will be supplied when the existing water heater fails to the point where repairs are not practical.
- An electric water heater will be supplied for any new installation or replacement of a gas water heater.
- The member must sign an agreement to stay under load-management control for at least five years.
- Your cooperative will supply and maintain the load-management control devices and provide for their installation.
- The controlled water heater must be the member's primary source of hot water.
- The minimum tank size to be controlled must be 40 gallons or larger.
- It is the member's responsibility to install the replacement water heater.
