Welcome to our website!Mountrail-Williams Electric Cooperative (MWEC) is a non-profit, member owned electric distribution system providing services to over 4,800 members with 3400+ miles of line and 8400+ meters. MWEC serves Mountrail and Williams counties in northwestern North Dakota with headquarters in Williston and offices in Stanley and New Town. We are committed to providing quality, low-cost service to our member-owners while upholding our core values of integrity, accountabilty, innovation, commitment to community.
Members of MWEC: Starting June 1, 2010, a new rebate program is available through Mountrail-Williams Electric Cooperative from federal stimulus funds. The ND Utility Rebate Program offers more than 2 million dollars in rebates for electric cooperative members in North Dakota for products and services such as energy-efficient central air conditioners, air-to-air and ground-source heating systems, energy audits, attic and wall insulation. Qualifying residential members can receive up to $5000 and commercial members up to $15,000. Click on the above link and see how to qualify. Hurry! When the money is gone the program is over!
